8" Touch Screen installed

I got the first step of the carputer done and it came out pretty good. I had to relocate the radio and dermal some stuff out of the console but it fit very nicely. I also placed a keyboard behind the shifter as well.

This is screen:

And the keyboard you see:

That looks really good. Do you think it would be possible to do this in a 5.5 gen max?

Nice job George. Every time I see your car you've got something new going on. Still can't get over the 4's in your upper door.

Keep it up

I used the stock trim and molded the screen trim into it with some epoxy and then used bondo and clay to even it out

Nice

Hey Man,

That looks really clean and nice.

I also decided to stick with my stock HU and and trying to determine the best way to get the LCD in place. I have been working with the HU in the default place but I dont mind the idea of putting it in the arm wrest.... could you provide picture of what you did?

Thanks,
David

Looks good man, good job, my radio trim has been sitting a couple months molded with a lilliput 7" bezel about 90% done. I start projects but barely ever finish. I'll check your post on mp3car this front end thing has me puzzled.

I do the same thing, start thing and never finish them. I have everything set up but the front end. I’m thinking about using StreetDeck because it seems to integrate everything pretty well and I don’t want to spend too much time setting up the software.

Too bad it’s getting colder now and I might not be able to finish it up till spring, but it gives me some time to save up so that I can add some more toys to it.
