Basic amp wiring problem

If this was in stickies then I just couldn't find it --

I'm trying to connect an amp and sub to the stock 97 Bose HU via the PAC AOEM-NIS2 adapter box, using the amp turn-on lead supplied with the PAC adapter. The amp turns on, but only when I'm using the radio; tape and CD modes turn the amp back off.

Is that turn-on lead actually connected to the motorized antenna or some such? Also how do I fix it? I see a wiring diagram that indicates that a solid red wire leading into the rear speakers is a +12V line... is it possible to tap that for an easy amp turn-on?

Thanks a lot.

There is another blue wire that needs to be attached to that radio signal, or another wire that is similar, I never used the pac so I'm not sure that there is another wire back there.

You need to splice into the wiring harness for the remote wire, the hanging wire is only hot when the radio is on cause it's f/ the power antena.

EDIT: I found and tapped the correct wire and now it works. Thanks again for your prompt replies.
