Amp Wiring kits

Is there any major difference between one brand and another? I was considering buying one of these kits:
Elemental Designs for $100(tsunami)
http://www.edesignaudio.com/edv2/pro...roducts_id=243

Rockford Fosgate for $119.00
http://www.crutchfield.com/S-eaq3Uli...amp+wiring+kit

Streetwires for $119.00
http://www.crutchfield.com/S-eaq3Uli...amp+wiring+kit

then I saw this kit for $39.00 by Phoenix Gold
http://www.onlinecarstereo.com/CarAu...roductID=15345

I never heard of Phoenix Gold before and was curious for some of your input. I thought all wiring was basically the same and I don't want to overpay for some wire. I think the higher price for the ones at the top is mostly due to name brand. I've also heard in life that you get what you pay for and don't want to pay $40 for something that will rust later. Thanks for you input in advance.

not really, no. the only thing that might be difference is the quality or build of distro blocks, and such.

look up KnuKoncepts on Ebay. i believe they still have the best priced stuff.

I wouldn't recomend Knukonceptz. I recently replaced my rusted out knuknoceptz battery terminals with stinger and I've only had them for 3-4 years. Their battery terminals also don't clamp down very well and can be moved around and such if you're using optima batteries. And yes they were on as tight as possible to point where the rusted hex screws started rounding off. Their wiring doesn't seem as tightly wound in comparison to streetwires and stinger. Their normal 0 gauge wire is difficult to work with since it's actually larger than normal 0 gauge so it won't even fit their own terminals and distro blocks. I'm a lot happier with my stringer stuff. Knukonceptz has great prices but low quality.

I am happy with the KnuKonceptz stuff in my car (pretty much everything powe-wise). I have two 4ga wire runs though, have not used any of their larger gauge stuff.

Phoenix Gold? The company that was boomin and made some of the best products available for nearly two decades...went mainstream with a bunch of crap, then went under and got bought out to have new owners and produce more of the same crap that originally put them under? Nope, never heard of em.

In other words you don't recommend them.

You're going to see a lot of garbage out there that claims to be 4AWG and will actually be somewhere around 6-8 ga worth of copper. There's so many accessory companies out there that are here one day and gone the next. Stick with a reputable company that adheres to the AWG standard. The price of copper has gone through the roof over the last year or so and a lot of companies are adding to the jacket and taking out copper to keep the costs down = lousy buisness practice....but hey, it's cheap, right?

I got a kit at Wal-Mart, it costs under $40. Comes with 5awg wire and 9awg wires with a fuse, 2 distribution blocks, a remote wire, and two sets of the RCA wires.
