02 Maxima Problems with Aftermarket Audio Install
02 Maxima Problems with Aftermarket Audio Install
I have just installed an aftermarket sound system myself, and have learned a lot in the process. My sound system sounds great, but I do have three problems. The first is that my subwoofer rattles my rear deck and trunk a bit too much. The other problem is with Engine noise. I am using the Stock head unit with the Rockford Fosgate 3Sixty.1 sound processor and Diamond Audio Speakers in the doors and Diamond Audio Subwoofer in the trunk. I am using Apline Amps for the doors and sub. The third problem is that I temporarily installed the Sat radio Antenna on the front Dash, and have reception problems from time to time. The 3Sixty.1 processor is wired after the Bose Amp, and I am also using a Stilleto 100 Receiver and MP3 player for Sat Radio reception.
What can I do about Engine Noise?
Does anybody have pictures of their Sirius or XM antenna installation(I am looking for a place to install this outside of the car, which will not require drilling or modding the car)?
What is the best way to sound deaden the rear deck and trunk?

1st - re wire that 360 to BEFORE the bose amp, otherwise you're using a filtered signal.
Add sound deadening to the rear deck and lid in layers until you get the rattles to stop.
Try new grounds for your HU and for you're amps to get rid of the whine and make sure all are sanded down to bare metal.
