350z install pics!, 56k need not apply

Audio forum's been dead lately, so i thought Id share a little. Its getting warmer out, people are beginning to want some bump in their car.. This install (at my shop) was pretty fun, and turned out pretty good.

The car: '07 350Z
The stuff: 3 10" Fi Audio SSD's, Blue-matching Fiberglass box, Hifonics Brutus 2k watt amp, Alpine Head, 0 awg wire

on to pics! enjoy

We also put 20% tint on in the same day, looks dark (he'll get pulled over im certain):

why we lose tools a lot

cont..

LOTS of cutting/grinding had to be done to get the subs to fit. The customer had a company (that does Fb boxes) make this box for him, with a standard 10" ring, and the Fi's basket was a bit off

looking good

total 1 ohm load..

Source, Alpine 9855

sorry for the soso pictures, took them quickly.

Impressions:
Sounds good, real good. Output wasn't as much as I had hoped, but SQ department, they're a good bang for the buck. They move a lot, and their surrounds are really stiff out of the box it seems. Build Quality is top notch on these subs, the motor structure looks really strong, and stable. The dust caps are rock hard as well..overall i'm definately considering a Fi as my next sub...

questions, comments welcome!

Just curious to know if it would have helped if the subs were facing back towards the hatch. Seems they would sound better not having the cones bouncing right behind the driver/passenger heads. And you could have potentially gained a few decibels as well facing rear. Right?

possibly correct, yes. but the enclosure was designed to face the way its facing . So it wouldnt sit/look right facing the rear..

It would have been nice to put an LED fan in the glove with the amp, also to cool/circulate.
