Thinking of doing an IB setup

I was thinking of doing an IB setup in my rear deck. I was thinking about doing 2 12's. I'm pretty new to this idea so any help would be appreciated. What are the pros and cons of this. Are there certain subs that are better for this?

I'm really trying to conserve as much trunk space as I can.

Cons = alot of fab work to make subs seal well on the rear deck and not have cancellation.

Pros= save trunk space, great sound, something unique, etc. etc.

Most any driver can be used IB it's said that something with a HIGH total q is better, however in my experience I've fun different drivers IB and non had that high of a total q so its possible that other factors play into it, I've noticed woofers with stiffer surrounds and suspensions usually handle it better, but again not always the case. Sometimes driver selection for IB setups can be trial and error, however it is sometimes better to just go with something tried and true.....

My setup:

Older setup

I'll be going back to that older setup shortly.

I was thinking of taking the rear speakers out of my rear deck and taking some MDF from underneath and mounting 2 12's in their place. I was hoping that I wouldn't have to cut as much if I did it that way.

You would probably want to have some support on top also.

I have two ED subs in the rear deck. I should have went with the Tang Bangs or the Kicker 8's. One of the subs is gonna blow soon so I will upgrade to the TB's or Kickers then.

Assassins are cheap but not available right now, you could pretty much use any driver you want to go IB its just that the limitations are not always the same.

ID's are pretty cheap and good
