Solid reputable company with a fairly low price point. Enjoy.

eBay sells one for a fraction of that price. It is exactly the same as the one that you listed.

It's cheap enough that if you have problems you could buy another one and still not not be close to the price of the other.

I never said that you posted price, I just looked at the price of it.

The price of it is an overly inflated SRP. Realistic price is a fraction of that. I think your looking too deep into things here. Furthermore you share the thoughts of ebay shoppers, so an ICON product apparently wouldnt be for you either way.

I know that the price is over inflated. I'm just saying that the ICON is the same as the eBay unit. I don't see the need in paying so much for something just because of the name. If it had Navi then I would be all over it.

How do you know it's the same? Have you seen/tested both products?

Too much work, fleabay shoppers just dont do that. They simply look for the closest looking thing, purchase and feel good about saving some coin....

It really wasn't that much work. A friend of mine has one just like that. He bought it on eBay. It was from the same seller that I linked. I clicked your link and noticed that it was the exact same as his and that it was selling for $1200. That unit and the "icon" unit were made in the exact same factory. I'm pretty sure they were or someone will be getting sued for stealing the "Icon" design. It's like buying something that generic. Same exact thing at a lower price.
Who doesn't want to save money anyways??

Not that stupid ebay comparision bull****. Have it break on you and try to get that seller to give you a new one. I bet that seller will give your *** the run-around. People who try to compare fleabay with actual sellers who will actually take care of their customers should be slapped....very hard.

I never said that I was going to buy one. I think it looks hideous IMO. But even if i did buy one and something went wrong with it, then I could buy a new one and with the price of both still come out cheaper than buying the same ICON unit. That's all I was saying. I only compared it because my boy has that exact same unit from eBay and I saw the original post about something for double dins. The ICON on is more than likely made in the same factory in China as the eBay one.
I don't want one of these units. ICON might be a great company, but it is hugely overpriced for a double din that just plays DVDs for 1200 bucks. You can get a full PC in a double dash unit for that price.
I was just a comparison. I didn't mean to make everyone go all postal. I thought this was a forum and that I could bring to light that there were other units out there that were cheaper than what Pearl showed and also the same as another.

Your not going to win this, so you might as well stop....

Keep buying your stuff unauthorized, more power to ya to save the coin, did your friend purchase the icon unit too? Did he open it and inspect the internals? Kthxbye

Look at the real pics mikey chalupa of your ebay auction it is diff. than the actual seller pics. So the HU from ICON is diff. The ebay seller just stole ICONS stock pic. Case solved, not the same.

Doesn't look the same to me. Also, the main picture for the auction conveniently has the brand name chopped out.....I wonder why.
