Pics of 4th gen max with a in-dash dvd player ?

Any max owners have a in-dash dvd player? not the one that flips open but the ones that are placed in replacement of the bose units.

I'm looking to get one, but trying to see how it looks since i have a gle and its all wood grain

It is not so bad when you're sitting in the car because of the angle of the dash. Plus my weatherstripping filling looks quite nice

+1 on the weatherstripping

I never notice the gap when im actually in the car driving though. i love the double din nav units like these and their so much easier to install then a flip out.

I have a somewhat similar issue with my jvc. Even if you have 1 DIN unit you will have gap with the metra kit except twice the gap simply because the nissan hole is larger than 2 DIN. My jvc just so happened to come with a nissan gap filler thank God.

Does anyone have a navigation system that fits the entire din without any gaps?

No gap.

Perfect fit - AVN5435, but this was a special request through Don.

Ask Don, he’ll tell you.. “Anything is possible”

Looks good, did he just fill in the gaps or did it orginally fit that well? It looks as if it sticks out slightly, or is that just the pictures angle?

I really want something flush and factory looking. Maybe I will have to make something custom.

The Alpine IVA-W205 has an internal dock for the Blackbird (portable nav). Externaly, it looks the same as the IVA-W200 (pics above with the Alpine center channel). Alternatively, you can get their trunk mount nav, but that is $1700 by itself. I have it and I love it, but it's pretty damn expensive. However, 9+ million POI is pretty nice.
