Sirius Sportster 4 Hardwire

Hey guys,

Im wondering if anyone knows of a place in jersey that would do hardwire installations of my sportster 4. Or is this something a novice can do, and if so what things would I need.

Thanks.

Since the Sportster 4 is a 5v unit, your best bet is to simply add another cig lighter behind the dash and plug into that. Worked well for me, and was under $10 to do.

Solder leads onto the plug and wire it up like any other 12V unit.

+1. I usually take apart the cig lighter plug itself and solder (+) and (-) leads directly onto the circuit board that converts it from 12v to 5v, but I also usually do at least one of these a day at work, so I wouldnt recommend it unless you're really good with soldering. Its well worth the $10 to buy the female cig lighter plug and hardwire that behind your dash.
