Plunge or fixed base? What the hell does that mean? I am an uber noob at routers.

I searched PC's site and 893 doesn't come up. Only 890series.

The 893 comes with both bases. Plunge is a MUST IMO. Plunge means you can place it where you need it, then push it down and lock it in place. Fixed means the body is not move able.

Ah ha, I see. I will take a trip to Sears so I can cheack it out. I found some refurbs on PC's site, but for $30 more I can buy new. I need to look at their ombo Packs.

The 893PK is $260, which isn't too bad. I may have to find someone with one for now.

I can actually see myself using it for more than just boxes too. So I could justify the purchase.

You could also consider the Freud, although I didnt like their vacuum attachment much with my circle jig. The 893 killed it.

Check around and you will see most pros (in any field) rate it numero uno.

Oh and try Lowes, they occasionally have sales and if you have a CC with them then coupons come in the mail quite frequent.

True. I will definitely look there. That is where I buy the majority of things for the house anyway.

No way I am doing the credit card though. I only have one, and I intend to keep it that way. Especially for home repair/upgrade. I would max that bad boy out in a hurry.

Awesome! I was in that position before I decided to go back to school. I have about 6-7 months left and have just as much charged back up. I hope the schooling pays off and I can pay it off in under 2 years. That is how long it took to pay off my car and our 3 CC from the Tampa days.

We can pay all of our billd with wifey's new job, so everything I make will go to debt payoff. And maybe a little audio too.

Very nice, I was about 7 g's in, but payed it off some till I got to the 4 k mark. Decided to go back to school.. Work pays 3/4 of my school expenses.. put that money into INGdirect and took out loans through the school. Let the tuition reimb money accrue interest so by the time I'm done with my edumacation I should be able to pay a large portion off... well that was the plan till I used my tuition reimbursement to pay off my credit card. Now I have money piling up in the bank that will still accrue interest (orange savings ftw) and I am also piling money from my bi-weekly paycheks away into savings as well.

I wasnt suggesting to use a CC, just if you had one already through HD or Lowes then the coupons come on a regular basis. Pay cash, but use the coupon discount.

Werd. They used to send coupons in the mail to me the year we bought our house. Now they have stopped. I got some pretty good ones too. You got any extra coupons you want to share?

No sir, I need em. But you can also try the post office and ask them for 'just moved' coupons. They usually have them there on hand.

At least you can post from campus.

I've tried browsing the org on two separate lab PC's at Rutgers, both of which said the IP is banned.

edit: Oops, glad to see you're OK.

On campus again...

Yeah, Centerpoint Energy considered my area to have suffered "extensive damage" and will take awhile to get everyone back on the power grid. There's a whole list of zip codes that will get power by this Friday. My area will see power after Monday. We still have running water and gas. I guess we're lucky though, some folks have their homes completely washed away by the storm.

Glad to hear that you are ok. Monday's not so far away. Before I moved to the U.S. I lived in the Virgin Islands. When hurricane Hugo or Marilyn came through back in the day we didn't have power for about 6-8 months. So, it could be worse. We were just like you... gas, water, but no power. Good luck.

Yea tell me about it. In the past 2 weeks I've been dropped ..

'01 E55AMG
'06 E55 AMG
'08 Porsche Cayenne GTS
'08 BMW 328 vert

Someone is made at me and making me does this crap.

Nah, this is one of my accounts that I setup with Dyn and TRU. I told him I would help him along with the install. So a pair of modified Billets/SSLD6/System 362/Esotar 1200 is all going in. Source is an AVN6620 with all the add ons. He opted to rip out the OEM Nav.
