No. What do I need to do? I have basically just put the tube in and went to work. The hole I cut in the tip is uber tiny. Not much waste at all, other than 1/3 of the tube that ends up in the base.

What do I puncture?

I never knew what the "pierce seal" meant in the instructions. That was the last of the white I had too. I have Almond colored caulking left. Since I am painting anyway, I think I will use that instead of buying an etire tube of white. especially if this "piercing" saves me some product.

The stuff I have is the GE Silicone 2 Kitchen and bath. It shouldn't matter if I use it to finish the crown right? I will buy more if I have to.

After you cut the tip you have to puncture the seal inside. Your caulk gun should have a long 'pin' on it to do this.

Why not paint the crown, then touch up once mounted? Makes life Alot easier.

I see the pin. I have read that some of the newer tubes don't have the seal. I will poke around in there anyway.

I did paint the crown before it went up. There was an existing chair rail in one of the other bedrooms that we stripped to bare wood when we moved in. The seam where the top of the rail and the wall got a little messed up when we stripped the 4 layers of paint off to regain some of the detail. I wasn't about to pull it off and risk damaging the drywall though. I am going to go to the store and get a light bulb and another tube.

Any news on that other issues yet?

I am finishing out some chair rails in one of the guest rooms, putting up crown in the guest bathroom, and re painting the kitchen. Tons of stuff going on right now.

I also ran speaker wire through the roof to speakers on the patio. I will post pics tomorrow of all the crap we have going on. Time to go to the UF/LSU game.

I have and theyre being watched like a hawk. Unfortunately the approval was processed too soon for them. However they WILL be yanked in a heartbeat if caught.

Of course they have fine craftsmanship, it all started from Dynaudio. Duh !

i'm amazed by the huge 5.1" vc on the sub. hell most pro audio stuff utilizes a 4" coil. its one beautiful sub. won't the big vc former add more moving mass though?

and yeah, i was quite surprised he even got the set. i can't wait to hear it though.

Yes. It was also compared back to back with the Esotar .. same amp, same enclosure, same vehicle, etc and guess who won by a landslide?
