Dimmer switch.. and my HU
I posted this last night but I have no idea where it went. Weird.
Anyway, I noticed in my HU manual (Blaupunkt Alaska) that you can hook it up so that its brightness is controlled by the car's dimmer switch. When I connected the wires and tried it, however, the unit's display got LESS dim when I turned the brightness UP! And vice versa. I would like to have this set up the right way, if for nothing other than the coolness factor. Right now it looks quite uncool (in fact it looks retarded). Does anyone have any ideas as to what could be the problem? I am definitely using the correct wire coming out of the back of the HU, and I'm just connecting it to the wire coming from the wiring harness that was installed with the HU.
Thanks,
Speebs
