aftermarket headunit with bose speakers?

is it possibe to say have a sony cd player with factory bose speakers in my maxima?

if it is possible how do i do this??

yes it is, you should buy an adapter that changes the ohms from 4 to 1 so that you dont fry the head unit or speakers.... Circuit city has these among other places... good luck, same thing i did

i'd look on mine, but it resides behind my pioneer HU along with tons of wiring- just tell a knowledgeable looking guy in the car install bay that you have an aftermarket HU with bose preamped speakers. he should know what you need.

too all who has done this

Hey guys.. whoever got rid or their bose HU, R u happy with after-market HU with bose speakers? do they sound clean, how is the sound quality..please give me some feedback. i am planning on geting Pioneer DEH-P730...with my bose speakers...thanx a lot...

is the adapter expensive?

what kind of cd player do u reccomend.

i already have a jvc cd changer but i just wanted to get a better headunit

yes, i love my kenwood. i set it to know my speaker size and sub size, and it truly sounds WAY better than bose. this was after ive had it for a few months before i found this setting. now its AWESOME!! its the x617 i recomend it to anyone not wanting to go too crazy on a stereo, but still sound great. the adapter was about 40 i think... good luck

the adaptor is about $35-$40. look around, i'm sure you can find it for less. i have a pioneer DEH-P7300 and i turned on FIE to cut lows from the front bose speakers. sounds great. admittedly not as good as new components, but decent.
