Question about my amp!!

i have two 15 inch subs and an 800 watt amp......what guage wire should i use??? what guage wire would i need to use if i had a 1400 watt amp???? thank you guys....would i have to change the fuse on the amp also???? if so what fuse should i change it to.........?????????

Its kinda hard to tell what you are looking for exactly but lemme try and help you out

200-400 watt amps at minimal can run an 8g. wire!!
1000watt + i'd go with 2 or 4g.

And let me remind you your ground needs to be of the same size else your currents just won't work..

ie. if u have a 4g wire from the battery to your amp, and your ground is 8g. your only going to get the flow of an 8g wire...found out the hard way!!

and yea i'd change the fuse to an 80 or so. My friend runs
2 12's @ 800watts and he has the 80 fuse...runs great =D

a 4 gauge wire and an 80 watt fuse ull be fine...thats the same setup i have for my l7's
