I have four of these:
http://www.crutchfield.com/cgi-bin/S...SA1795&o=M&a=0

What would be a good setup? 50x4 watts? Is it possible to power all four speakers with a 2 channel amp? Wouldn't the speakers being "seeing" a 2 ohm load then? Don't most speakers want to see a 4 ohm load? I am on a budget too so I was looking at US Accoustics and Lightning Audio amps. Any other suggestions?

Look at something better than Pioneer speakers. If you are going thru Crutchfield look at Infinity. If your cd/tape deck has 2 sets of preouts go with a true 4 channel amp at least 30-40 watts by 4.

Or you can go thru me since I run a stereo shop

Maybe I should build a new system from scratch. My headunit is pretty basic and only has one preamp output. Maybe it's time to upgrade to a brand like Eclipse.

I'm not looking at those speakers, I have those speakers. Maybe I should build a new system from scratch. My headunit is pretty basic and only has one preamp output. Maybe it's time to upgrade to a brand like Eclipse.

If you are going to run amps go with the Eclipse 89641 6" Point Source speakers. I have these in my Max and they are the cleanest sounding speakers on the market. They retail for $199.99 a pair. If you do not want to run an amp to your front and back speakers look at the Eclipse 82641 6". Go to your local Eclipse dealer and listen to them and tell me what you think. Or www.eclipse-web.com

Deck wise look at the Eclipse 5442I. We are selling them for $279.99 normally $379.99...3 preouts, remote, etc

Thanks a lot for taking time out of your busy day to get me started. I will look into what you suggested as well as looking around at other people's suggestions. You will most likely get my business sometime down the road.
