Ok, so is there anything I need to know about switching the head unit on a 94 gxe with the active speaker system? I have a Pioneer head unit that I'd like to get installed. Thanks in advance!

just go ahead and switch it. i think you need a wiring harness for it, if one didn't come with the HU.

Active SPeaker

Nope, not Bose, the Bose and active speaker are different. Someone correct me if I'm wrong. Thanks for the replies!

All active means no passive x-overs.

Identify

Ahh, okay thanks. How do I identify the Bose system? Did they all come with cd player? I believe I don't have the bose. It's a '94 gxe with just tape. thanks.

The bose says bose on the head unit... If all your gonna do is the change the head unit youve got nothing to worry about...theres a crossover built into the factory bose amp that runs the sub. I'm not sure what all this talk is about going active.
