how make watts does it take....

Hey, I was wondering how many subs/mids/tweers/amps, to get aroung 138 db My schoo has a "boom" contest, and wanted to see how much money I would have to dump it it, if any money at all.


P.S. the guy that won had to solar bears, I think there called? expensive stuff.

"solar bears"........i think you mean solo baric's. yeah i've heard those are pretty nice subs, and you're right, they are expensive subs.

it all depends on the car and the install.
I've seen simple systems with a single 10" sub and a big amp run 140db.. then I've seen very elaborate systems with half a dozen subs and 3 amps only run 130db...
alll depends on install and car...

Just get a pair of air horns from Gal's. Mount them right next to the head rests. That should hit 140 dB's on less than $100 total. Of course it won't be musical. But you never mentioned sound quality, just quantity.

i have to of them and they need power. im gunna install my 2nd rf800a2 to it then gunna have the spl checked. they arent that expensive subs. u have to get it from a kicker retailer store. dont get it from crutchfield way overpriced their.
