More 4 maximadave

is there anyway the following equipment could cause my 2k2 max's warranty to be voided, i had the whole bose system taken out and put in:
kenwood dvd player w/monitor
4 ch amp (alpine)
2 ch amp ((bridged)kenwood)
4 6.5" speakers
1 15" JL15w3
kenwood DD/DTS Processor
kenwood center channel

All of this equipment was professionally installed by Car Toys and they said they used a wiring harness. The only reason I'm so suspicious is b/c I had my (brand new)max only 5 days before it broke (it won't start) and the dealership has been looking at it since last Tuesday and still don't know what's wrong with it--Could the stereo equipment I had installed possibly have had something to do with this?

still looking for answers,
matt

Did Car Toys install an alarm?

I have done alot more to my car than yours and the Nissan dealership down the street has not given me any problems about my warranty.

If the dealership gives you any problems about your warranty it is total bull s##t!! It is totally illegal. The way it works is Nissan has to PROVE that Car Toys did something wrong to your car that caused it not to start, etc.

Keep me posted!

no, they didn't install an alarm and everything you said is exactly what everyone else i've talked to has said but i'm still REALLY worried about it b/c of the fact that it's a brand new car and the dealership said the car's computer was telling them everything's fine with it but they still don't know what's wrong with it--how long do you think i should give them before demanding a new car (it'll have been 5 days tomorrow)?

thanks a million

I would demand a rental car tomorrow morning first thing!

Nothing to worry about. They should not give you any problems with your system...as a serious joke, just metion to the service manager that your Dad works in the D.A.'s office (district attorney)...If they say well its your system, just say, ok let me talk it over with my Dad, he works at the D.A.'s office

I'm outta here for a few hours...I'll check back in about 3 hours or so.
