possible to replace tweeters with aftermarket in bose?

hey, i'm wondering if it's possible to replace the Bose tweeters with aftermarket one's without adding amps or anything like that. The reason i'm asking is because mine seem to be blown. I asked a guy at a respectable stereo shop, and he said no because bose uses a 1 ohm load, which seems to be untrue since i just took a look at the tweeter and it says 4 ohms on it. Any help would be appreciated, thnx.

ya alot of people have no experience with different bose systems and just spew out what they have heard somewhere like a robot... i know on my car the tweeters had built in crossovers so if you replaced it you would need a tweeter that as a cap on it...
