JL Audio
250/1 250 watt sub amp with 2 JL 10W3's (same system I have)
500/1 500 watt sub amp with 2 JL 12W3's (If you like aallot of bass)

300/4 75X4 4 channel amp for mids and highs

Look into Boston Acoustics or JL Audio for Mids and Highs...this decision is up to you everybody ears are tuned differently...

I was looking at the JBL Grand Touring 12's.....And whats the right way to wire them up ?? I'm really confused, if anyone could help I would really appreciate it....

For faq's on Ohm's law as it relates to speakers and amps visit www.mobileaudio.com/rac-faq or http://go.to.bcae

If you're looking for 12" subs and you have some available space you're willing to give up consider the Adire audio Shiva's www.adireaudio.com. They are decent woofers and can get very loud with little power in the right enclosure. They aren't very expensive either.

Other good brands of inexpensive subs are Image Dynamics ID and IDQ series, JL Audio W0 series, Oz Audio Vector series, DEI Pro+ series....

If you are not changing the amp then you need to get subs that will work well with the available power and impedance considerations. Most 12's can move roughly 40-60% more air than a comparable 10. A lot of manufacturers use the same motor assembly with their ten and twelve which means that power handling will be very similar. But the 12 inch cone weighs more so is less efficient in that regard, but moves considerably more air, so is it really more efficient? Up to you to decide which you want.

Look in to MB Quart mids and highs and also look into JL Audio 12W6's
PPI amp for the highs and a Rockford BD1000 for the subs it will sound great.

I would get a class D mono sub amp that will deliver between 400 and 600 watts RMS into a 2 ohm load. The subs are rated for 250 RMS each, wired in parallel will yield a 2 ohm load. Check RF, Harrison Labs, MTX, Directed, MMATS, and about 100 other brands. The Harison is probably the best deal watts per dollar. Ampman Audio sells them.

My friend can get me the Rockford Fosgate Power bd500...It's a class D amp, 500x1 watts at 2 ohms.....How are RF amps ? And how is this power for my 2 12's ?? Also, how can one channel of the amp power both subs...I thought that each sub needed it's own channel.... and how should I wire up the subs to make them 2 ohm ??? Thanks for the help....

RF's are one of the more efficient and good quality. There is probably one speaker output, but RF may have put two as a convenience. Either wire each speaker back to the amp with it's own wires, or wire pos(+) from amp to pos(+) of first speaker, from there to pos(+) of second speaker. Do this same procedure with both speakers. The four ahm load will be wired in parallel, so the amp will have a single 2 ohm load. This will be plenty of power for these speakers that are only rated 250RMS/each. The amp will probably put out more power than this, but not significantly. Audible distortion will be noticed before they blow.

Actually doubling the amp power only increases output by 3 dB. And the speakers are only rated for what the BD500 is rated to output. So getting the bigger amp will only be louder for a minute or two, then there will be an interesting electrical singe scent coming from the voice coils.

Yeah you would wire the subs to create a 2 Ohm load to get the most out of that amplifier. Mono amplifiers such as these are stable into lower loads allowing multiple subwoofers to be connected. The total power is then split between teh two subwoofers.

Alot of Class D amps actually have 4 output speaker terminals on the to make it easier to install 2 speakers in a parallel setup. What happens is the 4 outputs are actually already paralleled inside the amplifier.

I don't know that there is a single "right amp" for any system, but the BD500 is definitely on the list of "good choices."

Yeah I'd say it's certainly a decent choice for your setup....
