I want to play MP3's in my car and I dont exactly want to buy a Kenwood CD/MP3 (500$!)

I have a spare computer I could put in (it has enuff power)

anyone got any ideas?

 

i've just received my jvc kd-sh99...radio sounds good...recorded cd sounds good...i have not yet tried mp3...but it's suppose to play that also...just got thru installing it about 5 minutes ago...i will burn some mp3 and try it tomorrow...got for less then 300 bucks shipped to my door brand new...and it has a 3 day "dead on arrival" replacement warranty and a 1 year manufacturer's warranty...so far i really like...

 

I have the same cd player. It is great. I love the way it looks, and the built in equalizer is really nice too.

 

It looks like a really nice player I love the fact that it has a remote. BTW is this correct, DVD playback? I was reading about it on the jvc site.

Anyway though I'd love to buy one of those I think it's still too expensive for me
I'm looking towards 200$ max Canadian.

it has dvd/vcr control...which means u buy their dvd/vcr and u can connect it to the unit and u can control it from the unit/remote...

 

Does anyone that bought the JVC SH99 also buy the CD changer? I was just on their website and it looks like they don't make one smaller than 12 disc capacity which means it's a bit more challenging to fit where you want it.

That head unit looks awesome though. Has everything I've always wanted in a head unit including a front input for an external MP3 player.

 

I didn't buy a cd changer becuase I would never use it, so it would be a waste of money for me.

 

main reason why i bought a deck with mp3 capabilities is to avoid adding a cd changer...200+ songs on one cd...
