Replacing Bose w/ aftermarket in 94 GXE

I've seen several posts (here and elsewhere) referring to the factory HU in a 94 GXE as a single DIN. This is not the case in my car. I have a Bose system w/ cassete & cd. It looks like it's about double-din sized, maybe slightly smaller. Anyway, I'm planning on upgrading this week. Am I going to have a problem mounting my single-din unit?

Also, I've eyballed the speaker replacement process, and it looks like I need to take out the rear deck to change the 6x9's and remove the door panels to swap out the 4's. Am I going to run into any complications here? I haven't removed the door panels yet, so I don't know how the speakers are mounted. I'm hoping for a simple drop-in installation. Any tips or insights are appreciated.

Here's what I'm putting in:

*Pioneer DEH-P4300 HU
*Pioneer 6-disc cd changer (mounted under the rear deck in the trunk)
*Infinity Kappa Perfect 12.1 Sub in sealed box, powered (temporarily) by an Infinity Kappa 102a amp@300Wx1 -- I'll be replacing this amp later with something around 500W, preferably class D...any recommendations?
*Infinity Kappa 693.3i 3-way 6x9's running off a coustic 100x2 until I get my new sub amp; then I will put the Infinity amp on them
*Infinity Kappa 42.3i 4" door speakers, powered by a 50x2 Alpine amp.

yep ur 3rd gen bose is double din...u can buy anything from 1 din, 1 1/2 din, and double din...there are covers/slots that u can buy to place in that empty slot...or even buy an eq and put it under there...
