Now my amp cuts out

I I wired up my Iridium's today, and bridged my 2ch MA Audio HARD KORE amp, set my sensitivy/voule settings on my DCX730, and adjust my amp gains.

Good newis is that I got rid of all my Hiss and alt wine, bad new is now what I turn it up really loud, the sound cuts out from the front speakers. The subs keep playing, but no high end???

You bridged a 2 channel amp to your iridiums? You need to wire the left side to the left side and the right side to the right side.

I didnb't hink that with them having 6ohm coils that the amp would give them enough power...

Yea but you can't bridge it into 3 ohm, you need to bridge it into 4 ohms minimum, so thats too low. You need to wire them independantly.

From the posted specs here, the amp should be 1ohm stereo/2ohm stereo stable. It should be ok.

I know they didn't require as much power, but the Alpine's I had in there before were hooked up bridged @ 2ohms mono...

As far as my tuning goes; for the most part all I changed yesterday was the sensitivity on the DCX-730 from ~.650v to 1.400v, and I raised the volume on it from -12.5db to 12.odb.

I did noting to the amp but hooked the speaker wire up form stereo to bridged, and raised the gain maybe one mark on the amp, not hardly enought to do anything.

Why did you bridge it anyways? You will have no stereo seperation?

I suggest wiring it one to each side. Some amps don't like to see odd impedence loads, 3 ohms may not be okay for this amp. Jeff's had some somilar experience with an Alpine amp he once had. Not many of us have had any experience with the MA's, I know the one I installed wasn't putting out the power it stated.

Yeah, I think the amp sucks. It only has one 30a fuse anyway

I am looking at getting some Exile Audio amps, then I will be able to use an amp for each side, keeping my stereo sound.

Thanks for the help.

No sense in getting 2 amps, get a big meaty 4 channel.

Why, what a good idea.

Paypal just went through on this, ECLIPSE XA4000.

I'm thinking bridge 2ch's to each Iridium. It should suffice.
