-So if you are worried about losing SPL with birch, IMO this has been debunked 100% by this basic test.

My next enclosure will be birch. It will be roughly 6cf internal before port and sub. Finding the money to do so will be interesting. Birch owns.

here's a hint...call around and get quotes if you have a couple of lumber yards around. i got 2 sheets of 5' x 5' 13 ply baltic birch cheaper than 1 sheet of 4' x 8'. that's 50 sq. ft. compared to 32 sq. ft

thats tested by some dude who used 2800 watts on a type R...



My friend has a sealed birch box.. looks hot when stained

gotta love birch. My box is much lighter than my old MDF one. my next box will also be made out of birch.
