your not gonna find a new jl 500/1 for 2-250 range. I think youll be able to find a ALPINE PDX 1.600 that would be very suitable for you. It does 600 RMS @ 2 ohms, it will overpower the sub a bit, but just tune the amp sparingly and youll be fine.

on an amp for your subs, you won't notice any difference.

I have a JL Audio A1200 monoblock amp for sale. $110 shipped and it has a year left on the warranty. It only pushes 275w at 2ohms though. It's worth a try.

Thanks
Oliver

I'm more worried about how long the amp will last. I've had 3 amps previous, and they all lasted a very short time. I want one with that will last a while, while sounding good. So I'm thinking JL Audio 500/1.

The PDX is a good amp and should last a long time and deal well with the R. If you found a 500/1 for $200, I'd be skeptical. Is the JL a refurb? B/c that's a helluva deal for a 500/1.

i found a 500/1 on the fleabay, for about 300 shipped, and it powers my two infinitys (About 300w each) Pretty well, its pretty awesome... 1.5-4ohm 500 watts.. Somethings wrong with my subs, and i get 4.5ohms out of it, so im guessing im pushing around.. 450ish to them...

i think i might want to upgrade mine to the 1000/1 and get me some Soundsplinter RL-p 12s...

I have also a black limited edition 500/1 JL Audio amp for $250 shipped. The only reason I am selling it is b/c I have a silver one and my 300/4 is silver and I want them to match. Let me know if you are interested. Sorry I dont have any pics, my camera jsut crapped out on me. It is in perfect cosmetic and working condition.
