Amp Temperature Differences

After having music turned up for a 5 or 6 minute song, I got out and felt the amps. I noticed that the sub amp was fairly cold, trunk temperature. whereas the amp for the 4 door speakers was warm/hot. Any ideas what this means? Not the big of a deal, but just wondering if I should give the speakers more power? Better grounding on amp? Other?

Doesn't mean much. The 4 channel might just be working harder... what kind of amps are these?

Both are Alpine amps. One is the MRP-F250 (Amp for 4 Speakers) & MRP-M450(Amp for 2 10" MTX Subs).

My JL's run like that. My 300/4 gets warm/hot but my 500/1 runs cool. No problems though. I wouldn't be worried about it.

thanks
