There is no 'blocker' it just a matter of grounding the parking brake wire.

I thought I made myself fairly clear, but to reiterate ... no, I dont think you should proceed with payment. I think you should source it from a legitimate dealer.

so i bought from cartronixplus now they seem to have really good history so lets see what happens. And i hope my ebay account dont get banned. This is going to be my second unpaid item strike lol. As long as they dont charge me im happy. And sorry for the confusion about the blocker. I thought it was eclipse but i believe its the avicd3 that you have to do something with the dash that voids the warranty? also maybe you can help me, but i read in another topic that maxima's tend to have engine whine with eclipse? im setting up the eclipse dash with eclipse speakers and soundstream sub and amp? what do you think of that setup?

I could see someone making attempt at stealing my unit but leaving empty handed. Since by the time they figure it out I would have already met them. I need at least $500 worth of damage before I can contact my insurance.

think you would have done better to get with don and asked how much he would have charged you. good job on the warranty being out the window.

as well ive run a number of eclipse decks and never had an issue with engine whine. thatll play into your installation. utilize good wires and it shouldnt be an issue. want to be extra safe power on the drivers side, signal on the right, never the two shall cross etc.
but what do i know...im still waiting on the copper deadhead...sigh...

If the item is stolen (removed) from the vehicle within the first year of owning it, they will replace it completely free of charge. This has nothing to do with your insurance. If they pay also then double win for you.

I finally got my AVN6620 from Crutchfield yesterday. I feel like a kid at Christmas. I ordered the IPod adapter and got the Bluetooth adapter for free. Hopefully the install shop doesn't try to rape me when it is time. Still debating if I should get the GXE kit or not. I'll take pictures when I get it installed.

The GXE kit is the ventilator/HU kit that takes the place of the Bose HU in the 2000-2003 model years. Don't know about Mp3's on a DVD. I guess it wouldn't hurt to try. Although I would email Eclipse and ask the question first b4 you decide to do it and waste a DVD. That sucks about your Ipod. I'll try not to have it out in the open. Probably the g/c or the armrest console.

only CD's for the past couple models (avn5435, avn6600, avn6610). I haven't tried it on the AVN6620 yet but I guess it's worth a shot.

The box of my AVN6620 says,"DVD-Audio,cd,cd-r/rw, and MP3/WMA Playback". With that I am willing to bet that it probably won't. Wouldn't hurt to try though. Let us know if it does.

Ipod, 8 DISC CD CHANGER, mp3 CD, and now I have the XM adapter (doesn't reflect it in this old picture)

Get an 80GB or 160 GB ipod > 4.7GB DVD full of mp3s.....doubt you'll be bored.

Seems like a nice unit, but i think I'll keep the Clarion 9675z that my grampa handed down to me from his Model A.

Anyone know a HU that does 4way xover for under 400?

There isn't one.

Only one that can do 3 way front active with sub is the DRZ, and that is not gonna be less than 600 used.

you said you're getting it from your buddy that works at eclipse. Crutchfield != Eclipse. They already bought it and have remaining stock. What don is saying that you can't get it from eclipse directly right now as it's on backorder FROM ECLIPSE.

Well Dave B. won't be in til 2moro, so I can't order my GXE kit til then. Which means I won't get it installed til next week. That sucks. Oh well, u know what they say, Life's a B!tc# and then you die. Maybe someone else has one already installed.
