I believe after the AVN5435 it was pretty fast...from what I remembered.

You don't have to wait for it. Just rock your stock vents till the new ones get there. You'll just have ugly gap but it'll be fine. IT's the last step anyways for your install

Well, finally talked to Dave B today. I should get the GXE kit by monday. I'll have the install shop do everything either Friday or Tuesday. Depends on how I feel I guess. Just wanted to say thanx to all the folks who helped and gave all the input in the thread. Thanx again folks.

I'm wiping my tears, it won't be here till tomorrow. Which means I won't get it till Monday since I'm leaving town for the weekend.

But I don't mind waiting a couple more days.

Once I get a narrowed down list for each, i'll know better. So far what I have going.

Honda Civic - need Eclipse HU, Undecided on speakers, want front components and amp.
C5 Corvette - Customer has own equipment, Alpine HU, VR Components and Coax, 2 JL amps, and 1 JL Sub W6.
Honda Accord - Customer has own equipment, Kenwood HU, coax and comps, 2 amps and 2 Excelons.
Intrepid - need to troubleshoot cutout on all speakers
Audi TT - needs an amp and 2 subs, (wants 8's)
Mazda Miata - needs HU, coax, and amp
Malibu - Pioneer D3
Honda Accord - need Sirius Sat and Ipod adapter
Maxima - need HU, Components and Coaxs with amp
M3 - need new HU

All of these jobs are being worked out with the customer, I'm trying to piece out individual components for the ones that need them and working with all to stay within their budgets. I always try to offer a better solution compared to what they have or want, but it's their money so I have to accommodate their needs within their spending limit. Can't turn away any level of business right?

Man....you don't have to even say it. He's all into the speed factor, and wants a 1/2 decent setup. Which is pretty much what he's got........half decent.

So i finalyl got my eclipse avn6620 instaleld today. I loaded it up with the bluetooth e600( alittle dissapointed as its not integrated iwth the indash to show caller id, phone list, etc but still very nice unit) All 4 bose speakers were changed to eclipse 6.5 speakers and in trunk is a 12" soundstream sub and amp. The indash fits with about a 1-2cm gap at the bottom but hard to recognize. Will post pics up soon

are you running your eclipse 6.5" speakers off the deck right now or did those get an amp as well? Post a review after you have used the deck for a little while with the likes and dislikes. Seems that your not that happy with the b.t. adapter. Did you get an ipod adapter as well? How's the nav work? Screen is bright and clear and all that? Lmk what you think.

yes but i did leave the front amps from oem and just faded the back so the front doesnt overpower. Nav picked up right away and is very accurate i will play around with it more today and figure out the settings and post more details on that. Touchscreen is very easy to use. B.T. works fine and is clear its just annoying that it doesnt have integration into the dash thats all. Screen is bright and clear. I didnt get a chance to buy the ipod adapter yet but i will be putting it in nextweek. Once im done a few more changed ill post better details and pics this coming week stay tuned.

Well, I missed the deadline to get mine installed Friday, so hopefully on Monday I can get the 6620 installed. I do have the IPOD integration so if I can get it installed I will let you know. I'm just waiting for my GXE kit from Dave B to finish the install. Where did you put the controller and the mic for the B.T.?? Does it pick up your voice very good, or are the people on the other end asking you, "What'd you say?"

it picks up voice really good, nice and clear. i put mic on the top front corner of the driver side door. and the controller sits right on the left of my hand break for easy use. Hmm but i got to go back to the shop to replace my amp as my amp is messed up and i got to fix some irritative noise im getting on the right passenger side, weird. but other then its great, nav is quick and easy to use. Im kind of dissapointed that it doesnt fit perfectly into the double din. A bit of gap at the bottom and it sticks out about a cm. hopeing i can find a custom kid to somehow fix this but still looks good will post pics soon.

That's good to hear. The setup I have now folks either don't hear what I say at all or only a few words of what I'm saying. I'm don't know where to put the controller yet. I was thinking about putting it under the steering wheel somewhere. But next to the Parking Brake sounds like a good spot. Don't know yet though. That sucks about your amp screwing up. Hope you get it fixed. Is there an OEM double din kit for your car like the 5 gen??

For the 98max its oem is a double din so i didnt need to get an seperate kit, i just wish it wouldnt stick out, and yea the amp is under warranty so yea it will be fine, my main problem is the static im getting from the right speaker.

Just found out I won't be able to drop the car off until Thurday. That ish sucks!!! I'm so anxious to get the AVN installed!! As they say, patience is a virtue. With me working long hours this week and not getting off til 5 a.m. and other stuff going on throughout the week, Thurs is the first day I can squeeze them in. I'm also waiting on the GXE kit from Dave B. Hopefully it'll be here 2day or 2moro. Well, I'll let you know how it turns out, I guess.

Looking forward to installed pictuers of this deck. Is there a way or an option to flush mount it?
I'm kinda picky about little things like that.

cheers.

it might be difficult to do, but you have to get creative with it. the face itself is about 1/2 an inch thick and it needs room to slide down around the corners.

i wil post by tomorrow or latest wednesday : promise. I just want to get my spoiler and some other things all worked out on my car before i start takeing pics . Yea the 1/2 inch thick face was a little dissapointing at first but my gle has the woodtrim dash and it actualyl is starting to go well with it lol. Originially i was looking into custom black dash kits but now i think i wil keep it the way it is it saves me some money that i can spend on somethign else .

Nope. Nissan and Infinity are totally different buddy. Infinity doesn't even use wiring harness's, they just use solar rays and satelites.
