NO 3d Views. Just 2D. I haven't really found a need for 3D views. It does have a multiple view function where it'll show you a broad view then a close up view.

So I get my ish installed yesterday. IPOD adapter, Parrot Bluetooth, and AVN6620. Everything workds except the Bluetooth adapter. When I push the button it mutes the music like it is supposed to but I don't hear anything at all coming from the speakers. It is supposed to have options to go through when you push the ****. I push the **** and nothing. You guys got n e ideas of what could be wrong. Thanx in advance.

Im guessing you either

A: Have Blose.

or

B: You have external amps.

BT needs an external speaker if either of the above are true.

"A" is correct. What do you mean it needs an external speaker. I thought that it is supposed to come through the car's speakers. So what you are saying is that I need to get an amp and components for my BT to work? Is that what you're saying. If so, explain please.

No, you need A speaker. The BT only plays through the low level, not preouts which is what the shop used to connect your HU. They should have told you this though.

Yep..i'm surprised they've never ran into before. I should post up my wiring diagram for just the parrot BT kit... would be quite funny.

Yeah, I think it was their first time. So, when i get my components and amp installed then and only then can I get my BT to work with my car. Reason being is b/c it taps into a speaker, right?? Just making sure I understand what's going on.

NO. It has nothing to do with adding an amp or speakers. You need an EXTERNAL speaker. Think old school car kits with the speaker that mounts under the dash - small in a plastic housing ..

Yes that is correct. They should have informed you of this pre-install. Im hoping they are not Eclipse dealers? Not for your sake of course, but more for theirs. At least they would have an excuse of why something doesnt work, although it should have been tested and verified working before leaving.

Above the passenger footwell would work.

I am thinking of buying this unit. the only snag is concerning the ipod interface. i went to eclipse's website and looked at the operation manual. my only question is that when u are browsing for songs by artists/albums, does it just list artist1, artist2, artist3....etc like it shows on their website or does it actually list the names of the artists? can u guys post pics of this? Thanks.

If there is nothing to scroll to then they will not light up. You have to have more than 8 options present.

Yeah that's what I thought, and I have more than 8 songs on my IPOD. The yellow bar between the arrows is lit, the arrows won't light up so that I can scroll through songs. I'll go check it again just to make sure. I'll holla back in a few.

I turned on all options on the ipod and the HU that I could find and no joy in any way. Still doesn't give me the option to scroll. Now that I think of it I haven't been able to hook my ipod up to the computer that ITunes is on in a long while. Maybe I need to update it or something. I'll try that this afternoon on a friends computer and see what happens. I wanted to change my playlists n e way. I'll let you guys know later. If you can think of n e thing else let me know please. Thanx

Ok I know I used one of your pics, but this is what my screen looks like when I bring up the menu for songs on my IPOD except that I have the little yellow bar in between the arrows. I also made an MP3 cd today and it only shows the first 8 tracks when I show file names. The only way to see the next page of songs is to select the last of the 8 songs and skip to the next track. Then it brings up the next 8. I don't know what to do. Any ideas from anyone?? Thanx.

Does Eclipse have a trim ring that comes with it? I know I can make one but just curious if Eclipse provides one. I can use it as a mock up for my glass if one is available.

It has this rubberish type one that goes around the unit but not a trim ring like a regular headunit.

Do you have an extra that came with your new unit? Could you send it to me if you happen to have one? I want to see if I can work with it.

Doesn't have to be perfect, just need it for the glass mold.

Hmmm I didnt throw that in your box of stuff?

I have an extra one, but once you see it you would be reconsidering using it as a mold.

Nah there wasn't one, but if you could that'd be great. You can send it with the ipod and center if you'd like. (what's the status on that anyway)?

I'm planning on securing it to the gxe kit and using the mold that way. Then to glass over it, so it won't be a final product or anything, and doesn't need to be reinforced all that well. Just need the shape/opening size. Trying wood right now but not working like I want, may try some styrofoam.

Thanks D!

you know if you remove the radio and mark back about 1/4 or less on the stock mounting bracket where your screws are you can have your AVN sit flush with the dash. Thats what I did with mine and its perfectly flush now. I also had a custom wood dash kit made up so now there are no gaps what so ever around the AVN. When I get a chance I'll post some pics.
