Trying to help my cousin install Pioneer Avic-D3 in his 2001 QX4 BOSE.
We can't find any harness for it(bose version) so we tried using my old 4th gen maxima bose harness. Everything matches up nicely, but i'm not able to get the amp to turn on. We connected to the headunit's system remote (not sure if its right, but there isnt a remote turn on wire on the headunit). Anyway theres for sure audio coming out of the headunit, and the line converter, but nothing comin out of the amp. Any ideas?

nvm, found out we blew the amp fuse.

 

All nissans 1995-present have the same wiing harness in the dash, bose or not. And the remote is still blue/white, just located in the preout wiring harness instead of the main high-level one. Moot points now, but just future reference.

 

i got a qx4 and im installing the same exact radio, would love feedback and pictures of your work!

 

u'll need an adapter for the wires, and then u'll need some sort of adapter (PAC something from scosche) if u have bose. wiring is straight forward.
Only problem is the dash, it doesnt fit it properly, i need to build a custom bezel soon. I'll post pics when i do.
