Aftermarket HU install in 04

I'm putting my Kenwood from my 95 into my 2006 for next weekend, long trip. The Bose cd player stopped working. Shocker, I know. So, I order the kit fom crutchfield for the single din cd player. It says I will need the wiring harness but the one they tell me to get is the one I already have in th 95, so I'll just use that one for now. That is the correct one, right?

So my questions are: is the dash kit for the 6th gen from crutchfield any good? Good fitment and what not.
Do I need anything else since I am keeping the stock Bose speakers and using an aftermarket HU? I'm thinking that I do but crutchfield didn't suggest it so I wasn't sure.

Make sure they give you the right stuff. I got the wrong wiring harness. I need an amplifier integration adapter. On crutchfield if you check the reviews on the Nissan/Infiniti Factory Integration Adapter that they will most likely give, you someone with a Max wrote a review saying don't get it and look for the amp integration adapter. I drive a 5.5 gen and don't know anything about the 6 gen. So, I guess what I'm saying is know what you need and are getting.

I found it several times that the Crutchfiled sale man/woman didn't know what they were talking about.

I got the kit in from Crutchfield and it is the same Metra kit so the fit was just as good as stock and the color of it matched too. I did just the plug and play. The sound was a little different but to me it sounds better than the stock Bose and the CD player has a direct connect for ipods. I was alittle confused on how the CD player would sit b/c on the 4th gen you also needed an instalation kit but this one just screwed into the stock mount. So all in all the fit and sound was really good. This is just for future reference for anyone that will install aftermarket into a 6th gen.
