Bose Amp Bypass Harness

Hey,
I was looking to install new speakers in my 02 Max w/Bose. I have an Alpine HU with factory speakers. I'm ready to upgrade the speakers now for a cleaner sound. Where is a good place to get the bypass harness for the amp? Good Brand and P/N? I've searched but can't find. I also plan to install a powered sub using the Bose Amp power feeds.

I recommend just running new lines for everything. You won't need a car harness for the speaker wires out of the headunit if you run new lines, and remove the BLOSE amp all together.

Maybe I'm missing something here, but if the lines are already run from the headunit to the bose amp, and from the bose amp to the speakers; wouldn't it be easier to disconnect the input and output of the amp and connect those wires together? Doing so would eliminate the bose amp and not require you to run new wires throughout the vehicle.

Yes it would be much easier. Unless you are adding an aftermarket amp, the factory speaker wires are fine in most cases.

There isn't a plug and play bypass harness that I know of, so youll have to do it manually.

Here is the wire function/pin number/polarity/color

Is this the same for a 2000 Max? I am about to add an amp for my door speakers (which are already aftermarket) and would really rather not run all new wires if I didn't have to.

So does anyone know if this diagram works for a 2000 as well?
