Stop the torsion bars from rattling

Anyone have tips on this? The torsion bars are rattling when my sub hits, any idea to make them stop?
In a 4th gen

Other than installing hood struts...

If you dont open it much...wrap something like tape around each of them and then both together. I used plastic wrap and it worked just fine.

Interesting... But I think I found a better solution. Talking to one of my friends he suggested that I use the foam pads that they wrap the pipes in your basement so they don't freeze.

just wanted to say you have one of the cleanest looking 4th gens i have ever seen. Foam and plastic wrap both sound like good ideas.

I swear I miss my rosewood more than you! Atleast your new car has more power than your rosewood and you still got black interior.

I'm nowhere near the power of my boosted max and stuck with gayige (beige) interior...

Those things are in my way in the trunk. What would happen if you just cut dem off?

If you cut "dem" off, your trunk would be very very heavy, and nothing would keep it up from falling when you have it open. It would slam shut very hard.

I bought some foam pipe insulation w/ sticky backing. I'm gonna wrap them up really well and when I get my subs back in, I'll let you know how it works...

Mine doesn't stay open and it slams shut even with the bars. The sound deadener really makes that thing heavy.

Well yeah. But my spoiler still rattles.
On top of my box keeps sliding around in the trunk. I velcro'd the carpet down to the car, and basically I wasted like 8 dollars on velcro. So now I need a new idea. I was planning on putting "L brackets" in but I don't want to drill a hole in the wrong spot. Any ideas?

Bolt through the center of the back seat. Take out the two 10 mm bolts and put wood screws with washers through. Worked for me:

I don't have a pic of the actual screws going through tough.
