Sirius FM Wiring/Sound Quality Question

I've had the Sportster 5 Sirius radio for a few months now and I finally have some time to install it. But first, a few questions...

1.) Has anyone heard the difference in sound quality between the FM Direct Adapter and the Cassette Adapter? I don't want to use the supplied FM transmitter because I have heard many say that the sound quality is poor. If the difference between the cassette and FM direct adapter is negligible, then I'll prob save myself the trouble of removing the radio and just go with cassette.

2.) What is the difference is between these two items:

FM Direct Adapter

FM Direct Adapter with Nissan antenna adapters

....Am I correct in assuming I need the antenna adapters for my '01
