FINALLY 12 Volt XBOX is IN!

well ive been looking into a 12 v xbox for 6 months or more, but recently i just got a screen and actually could use the xbox in the car.

so i got a ATX powersupply

and did a few days of work on it

then there is a ground wire, power wire, ground switched wire (turns on the powersupply) then there are 2 wires that correspond to the button on the front.

i had to do it with 2 switches, cuz this is not avaible

anyways on wit the pics,

ohh ya, its modded with a 300g hard drive, like 10 games. 50 movies, a few tv series, and some music, and 2 wireless controls.

edit if anyone is wondering why convert to 12 volt...

i dont like power inveters
the xbox actually runs off of DC voltage 12 5 and 3.3
so why go from dc-ac then ac-dc seems dumb to me.
its a lot cleaner install IMO

That is hot and thats a big @$$ screen. 7" I bet, looking good. I had PS2 connected in my car through the inverter and I understand having that extra big piece can cause a clutter...

lol, i dont care about the 360, so i guess its a personal opinion.

sence i did not install this to play games much anyway, the reg xbox is perfect. and i allready had it, lol

its mainly a movie/tv show/ music player. no need to spend more $ when i had this modded and 300gb ready to go!!!

eventually i will just install a PC but i like this for now

more items in the car.

causes noise, and static on the screen

like i said for xbox its allmost stupid to use a inverter when its DC voltage it uses anyway.

and i like to be diffrent.

does it still fit with the seat installed. i thought there would be clearance issues. which is why i went with a ps2 in my max and not a modded xbox...
