Trunk lid rattle

So I been working on my setup for the past 4 weeks. So far I have deadened my entire trunk (I will post all pics once I complete the entire project). I added strips of edead all over the trunk and lid, thick layer of liquid edead, and finally a layer of ensolite all over the trunk. I also added expandable foam and blocks of insulating spongy foam to block all of the cracks and crevices that lead to the body of the car. I made sure every hole was covered.

After I finished all of that I of course replaced my carpeting and added my subs and amp to test. I did hear a big difference. I no longer hear a lot of rattling from the panels around the rear bumper and rear fenders. The only problem is that I still hear my lid rattle. I noticed that when I press my lid down with my hands the sound goes away so my guess is that the sound is coming from the part were the lid hooks from. What can I do to dampen this area? Is there a way of adjusting the hook?

Thanks in advance

Well I was able to figure out a way of eliminating the vibration. I did some tweeking to the latch and I fixed it.

I lowered the trunk latch on a previous car and my trunk leaked and i didn't notice it till after it filled up the spare tire well and the water would come into the back seat when i hit the brakes hard. I thought it was a window leaking and didn't realize it was the trunk until my speaker box literally fell apart. Then came the summer heat and i had to replace the carpet to get rid of the mildew smell.

I didn't have the ***** to open new holes to move the latch. I instead wrapped the latch with electical tape and added foam for more cusion. The lid closes fine and I no longer hear the rattle. It still vibrates, but it definately eliminated the anoying rattle.
