The driver is applicable in a wide variety of boxes, closed as well as vented.

The unusually large voice coil ensures not only high power handling, but deep, tight, and detailed bass reproduction without any compression. Frequency response: 25Hz - 800Hz; 92 dB sens. 200 watts continuous.
throw the JL's away?? wtf?
Bit confused on what you find funny here.

Do these subs need to face the cabin of the car or can they face towards the back?

Please ignore my previous question. I did my research

Although I do have another question. My current setup is two 12"PG xenon subs hooked to a 1200 watt PG mono amp. Subs are wired at 2ohms in a 1 ^ft sealed box for each sub. My current setup is loud enough to feel the bass hit and shake my seats. Would a proper IB setup give me this type of sound or is an IB setup more for SQ? If so, I would consider buying some IB subs to gain more trunk space and shave off some weight.

Here are some pics of my current setup. BTW, the cap is just for decorative purposes

A properly setup IB system can shake your seats and produce a lot bass, all depends on the subs you use, and how good of an install you do. Mainly though IB is for SQ, thought in my experiences it does get pretty darn loud with the right drivers.

Your setup looks great bro, nice and clean. I will say that the vanity plate is restrictive. Unless you are happy with the output that is.

IB is maily for SQ. Although you can make IB installs loud, they will not come close to a traditional ported enclosure in terms of output. They will, install dependent, sound much better and are easier to blend from my experience.

For your application, a pair of quality IB specific 12"s will have the ability to get as loud as you are now with less power and give your trunk back. Proper deadening and baffle design as well as driver selection would be your limiting factors.
