The link takes you to the circuits2u main page.

Are you looking to buy another amp?

Soundstorm , IIRC was a Soundstream knockoff....... Taiwaneese.

The specialty for them was the 20 dollar 1" tweeters.

It is actually a 250W (RMS) x 2 amp into 4 ohms. The 700x2 designation would be a peak number with a 2 ohm load.

Their motto is kind of amusing "Everything else is just noise"

Certaiinly not an SQ amp but if you just want something that is loud, I would say you got a decent deal.

You will never see peak numbers. You are lucky to see RMS numbers.

you'll be lucky if that amp pushes 500w, with the gain up and music at full volume.

i dont know about all of that. all i know is that it does sound really loud for an amp that bearly pushes 500w. but i was lookin at a sony sub and it says 1200w max rated at 350 so i was thinkin that even though my amp says 1400 but only pumps 500 the speakers say 1200 but only handle about 350. am i saying that correctly?

Yeah, sounds correct. You should never look at the max of stereo equipment to get your first impression. RMS is what you pay attention to. Besides, don't forget what mendon said,

Which I would think that the amp is probably gonna overheat if you play it at full volume long enough, and that will eventually lead to terminal failure of the amp. Unless that amp is UBER efficient. If I am wrong, can someone please chime in and correct me. Good luck.

Me personally,I would never use less than 4 ga.If your going to do it,do it right. That way if you upgrade the amp you already have some good wiring.

china was just goiving you what information was available. I don't think he was being degrading at all.

If you didn't want to hear our opinion, why did you come here asking for them?
