My left speaker goes out, time for replacement?
So I think this is a common problem. Anyways, I always wanted to upgrade the sound so I was wondering what you guys would do if you had 500-600$ to spend on sound. I am not a expert on sound so I am not really sure to sure what is good and what is not. I am sorry if this is a common question, I searched for 20 mins in this forum going back to page 3-4 but I don't see anything to fit my needs.
What would you go with if you had a few hundred to put into sound? I don't mind a single DIN but a doube DIN would be nicer but looking at the prices, it would be too much out of my price range. I also would need speakers and some other stuff I assume?
thanks in advance!

No problem. Yes, it is a common problem with the 5.5 Gen "Blose". Mine did the same thing for a while, and got annoying as he!!. I also have a 5.5 gen w/ "BLOSE". As for your situation, it all depends on what you want, and how much you are willing to spend. Here on the .org, folks usually run in different "circles" than the mainstream. Like I said, it all depends on what you want. SQ, SPL, etc....

There are decent speakers in the $100+ range. Try www.crutchfield.com, they have alot of options which are budget friendly.
my dad has polks in his cr-v. they are great speakers for the price! I mean, a lot of different components are very good...
um, pioneer revs, aren't called revs anymore, they are pioneer's TS-D series...im just personally - biased about them...and just in my personal opinion, they are without a doubt some of the loudest and cleanest 6.5's i've heard (accompainied with a 4 channel amp of course). Oh and also in my honest opinion...it is worth upgrading the size of your rear door speakers to 6.5...its makes a big difference to me...just go out to some shops one day or talk to some buddys and just listen to different setups and see what suits you best... :-)

i have had alpine type s speakers in my car for a while and love them, you can pick them up cheep on ebay too ($90 for a pair i think). I would go for the type r's if you plan on amping them although the type s speakers are good for 70watts rms.
I have an alpine head unit too with the high speed ipod hookup which is awesome. I have been thinking about a double din but it is a little out of my budget at the moment and would be outside of your $500-600 if you want to do it right
I also have a small sub in the trunk to add some bass. Since you had the bose system i would use the hole on the rear deck to fit a small sub and you could mount a small amp on the rear of one of your back seats. Just a thought

whatever you get, make sure you have warranty so you dont have to go through this situation again. There is a great discount on DLS speakers by pearl96max. I think they would do you justice.
