HU problem...

installed everything from the harness to the antenna adapter and grounded the wire.. the tuner (radio) works just fine.. but the PROBLEM is for some reason the CD player and the AUX front in doesnt work .. and by that i mean no sound comes out but the radio works .. any suggestions?

i had a factory bose audio player which was taken out and replaced with the Sony CDX-GT110 CD player and still have the original amp for the 95' Maxima.. it seems to read the CD and plays just fine but no sound i wonder why

You wired your power antenna output from the radio (blue) to the factory amp turn on wire in the harness (blue/white). Wire blue to blue and blue/white to blue/white. Or if your radio has no amp turn on output, wire the blue/white to switched power (red).

mrjamaica98mx:
i bought a harness from best buy in the install bay which i think was called GXL something harness..

kpr10is:
yeah i just checked the wires and there was no amp turn on wire.. the rest of the wires was in correct color order.. but one question wouldn't wiring the blue/white into the power wire cause the amp to stay on even though the radio is off? since i've heard that wire has to do something with the ignition switch or something.. and plus wouldn't that rigging cause a drain in my battery?

Yes, the amp would stay on when the radio was off but ignition was on.

No it wouldn't drain your battery. It is switched power, the amp would turn off when you take the key out.

agreed. you probably have the antenna wire to the amp turn on so your amp is only on when you use the radio.

use the amp turn on from the hu harness (blue/white) instead.

Its a Sony CDX-GT110. It doesn't even play mp3 cd's, let alone have any preouts or an amp turn-on output. lolz.

OP, tap the blue/white on the harness you bought from best buy into the red wire. All will work fine.
