Preamp passthrough issue...
I finally got my 2nd TC2000 a few days ago, and went to install it today. Install went as normal; sub in, wiring in, last XA4000 in. Got everything bolted up fine but when I went to hook up the last amp, I noticed it was no where near as loud as it was with 1 sub in there
I did some messing around, and when I unhooked the RCA cables from the 2nd amp, the 1st sub got louder. Since I only have 3 sets of RCAs(Tweeters/Mids/Subs), I am running the sub RCA's from the 9887 to one Eclipse XA4000(1st sub amp), and then I am using another set of RCAs to run from the preamp output on the 1st XA4000 to the RCA inputs on the 2nd XA4000(2nd sub amp). It seems as though the signal is getting split when I hook up the 2nd set somehow, and I am loosing a ton of output.
I don't think the outputs should be labled "preamp outputs" if all it is is an internal splitter. This sucks, as I was louder with 1 sub than I am now with 2, and I now have twice the power...
Any suggestions?

^^^ I tried this as well and nothing changed. As much as it sucks, I think the "preamp outputs" are nothing more than internal signal splitters, and the signal if effectively getting 'halved" when I use another amp.
It just doesn't make sense to me and I am extremely disappointed...

I'm getting another top assembly for my old TC2k, so when it gets here I will re-check my wiring and everything. I may have had it wired out of phase in the first place, even though I checked it twice...
