5.5 gen Bose Left side issue

I can listen to the radio Fine the sound comes out of all speakers correct, but when I put the cd player on the right side cuts in out then eventually fails to put out sound, also the tape deck is doing this aswell.

read a thread on a wire reconnect but I do not understand how the radio works and not the cd/ player and or tape deck on the left sound.

the simple

cd player= cuts in and out on left side
Tape deck= faint sound from left side
Radio= works fine full sound.

Pretty sure that it's a bad connector inside the headunit. There's a writeup somewhere that details how to fix this problem. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

I'm having the same problem with my Bose HU. (04 Max) Do you recall the connection problem being inside the HU or maybe with the wire harness? The front driver's side speaker cuts in and out when playing cds. I already have the HU removed, but I can't find a problem. Thanks

I think I found the answer to our problem. Chris.s@TMEC fixed his HU and gave us an amazing step by step guide, with pictures! It's 1:35am, but I'm going to start it anyway. My HU is already out and the house is quite. I'll let you know how I make out. Here's the link:

^^yes.

So how did it go? If it didn't work, just go aftermarket.

I followed all the steps and got the radio back together. I'm now in the process of mounting it back in the car. I'll post later today and yet you know how it went.

And yes, I do have the 6 disc changer.

Everything is working perfect. Radio, CD's, Tape, hooked up PAC for Ipod and Satellite. Problem solved for now. Good luck.
