somebody helpppp

OKay, so long story short: One day last week, my driver's side front window wouldnt go up, the motor is fine, it just wouldn't go up. somethin to do with the window switch, took apart the door and looked at the switch, ended up breaking the window switch. had to rig the wiring to make that window work on a different switch. bought (off ebay) a 2000 infiniti i30 drivers side window control unit. shouldnt it be compatible with my 2000 max se? because when i plugged in the harnesses and put the wiring back to factory, it doesnt work for anything, it wont lock doors, it wont light up, it wont work the windows...is it just not compatible or is it broken, and if it's broken is there a way to put an ohmeter or voltmeter or something of the like to test it out and see if its broken.??? someone help because i cant stand leaving the windows up in ga heat with horrible ac.

Search. For the window reset procedure.

Then, buy the proper switch. Don't try to fix things if you don't know what you're doing.

Well with a title that says 'somebody helpppp', it certainly seems otherwise. Good luck.
