FM Reception, This normal?

After installing the pioneer in my 01 Max (bose), I noticed a drop in FM reception. Sounded OK when parked then over the next few days while driving I noticed most stations have a slight crackle, and some are just terrible.

I read the threads and made sure blue wires were spliced. All connections are solid. Stations still come in but noticeably weaker. Is this expected from an aftermarket deck or do I need to troubleshoot some more?

I was programming my PAC radio adapter, i moved it slightly... reception faded then nudged it again and it came back!? I wonder what this was about. I checked the wires.. tight? Any ideas. I'm curious if anybody has noticed the PAC adapter messing with reception?

Sorry to bump this old thread but in my search this thread best matched. Has anyone had luck fixing this issue ?

I also notice the exact same issue, installed a double din pioneer unit, used the antenna adapter and connected the blue wires up. I get fm reception and is fine for most stations when at a stand still but once moving fm is not as good as stock.
