Clifford 50.7x VS. Viper 5901/7901

Hello Org, I need to put an alarm system in my car, putting too many high ticket items in my ride, lol. Heres the story, both of these are the same maker DEI. The 50.7 and 5901 are pretty much the same just some small things.

The 5901 is really nice plus I can get it installed with the window modules(up-down with remote) and other xpress modules and for all the bells and wisthles for around 500 here in htown. However the 7901 is coming outlater this year which has a full color remote(lcd) not sure waht other features it will provide. Any suggestions guys? Pear96Max maybe you can add something to this, since you install alarms

Both are essentially the same with the exceptions of cosmetics and the Clifford having a slightly better shock sensor.

What is it that they are 'selling' you for the windows ? This can be done with a simple two wire hookup. Although that is a Very fair price for the system install with bypass.

The functionality of the newer units will be a vast improvement over the sub menus of the current. Color screen doesnt mean much to me, but the ease of use is quite improved. However do not hold your breath for it's release. That unit is what the G5 5.5x was supposed to be and never materialized. It will eventually come under the generic names, but release date was supposed to be many moons ago already. This thing has actually been in development since 2006.

Hello Pearl96max, he is selling the 5901 for 399 installed wiht the xpress kit and i asked about the window option and he said that it was a bypass from dei(a window roll up module) i think 59t or something like that. Are you saying that I do not need that module? I read online about the 7901 then called him back and he spoke to his rep i believe and the rep told him release is slated for late fall. Well thats what he told me so Idk. Let me know about the window module or lack of need of one for the 08 maxima and either alarm. Thanks for all your help so far

He is talking about a 530T in which case you do not need it. One touch/Anti pinch windows in the Nissans/Inifinitis since '02 have not needed these modules. Simple validity to the door lock wires and it is done.
