Bose Tweeter Crackling Noise

Hey guys,

I have a 2000 Maxima SE w/ Bose and JVC head unit in my car. Starting just a few days ago, the factory tweeter in the driver's side A-pillar began making somewhat of a crackling noise intermittently. This noise occurs regardless of what level the volume is at, even at volume 0, which is essentially mute. The noise seems to be, for the most part, happening when I hit bumps or make sudden movements with the car, which to me makes me think that it could be some sort of a bad connection. The odd thing is that sometimes I will get in the car, listen to the music for 5-10 mins without hearing the noise at all, and then it will spontaneously start. Other times, it does it right after I start the car up. The noise does not happen at all if the head unit is powered off. Before I rip it apart and make a mess of things, I was wondering if anybody else had an educated guess as to what this might be. Any ideas would be appreciated.
