Just installed Polk components...

I just got and installed my polk DX components. What I was really surprised and happy about is that the mids fit perfectly in the stock location. I had no need to make a braket. So if anyone wants perfect fit speakers, get Polk. The tweeter I installed on the stock grille where it becomes elongated. It is the perfect position. You don't have to mess up the door pannel, and the tweeter is less then 6 inches from the mid. I only have one side installed so I can't comment two much on sound quality yet. I do need some tips on adjusting the crossover though. There is supposedly 12 different settings it can have.

If your a bass head that likes it loud set the mid to run from about 100 up and the tweet from 4k up, if your not a bass head than you can run them lower prob 70 up and 3k up.

Not all polks fit directly. I have the EX602a that fit in my D21(nis), but they did not fit in the rear deck on my 95 max. The DX series must be an oversized speaker, or the basket is a little bigger. The EX series is not a component though too.

I have Polks front and back. The Max uses a 6 3/4 opening. So the EX602a needed an adapter. I also have EX series components up front. Installed the tweeters on the sail. Yes the 6.5" woofer needed to be adapted also in the front.
