can i wire 4 subs to a 2chanel amp?

i was wondering if i could wire my two tens and 2 12s to my 2 chanel amp i know the amp gots the power to push em all but i dont know how the ohms works how would i have to wire it if i could?

12s are single voice coil 4ohm and 10s dual voice coil 4 or 2ohm...

I did it before years back it killed the amp, all you have to do is wire 2 speakers together to one channel, make sure you wire both positives to positive etc.

yes you can, but why would you want to run two different sized subwoofers?

just port the two 12s and sell the 10s.

your 10s are either dvc 4 OR 2 ohm...NOT both.

Yes it will most likely damage the amp but it all depends

im not gonna go for it then. and i will sell 12s before my tens!! my tens sound like 15s, their in a ported pro box and their kicker dual voice coil, and cheap 12s, i wanted to just add more bass im sure it would be much louder with two extra 12s but i dont wanna mess my amp up.

i may add a 3rd amp later for them.

2 ohm each coil.
Wired in series, 4 ohms.

if u have a jl 1.5 ohm stable amp, you can run one svc and dvc (if you can wire it at 2ohm) sub in series, which will give you 6 ohms, then run them in parallel to make them 3 ohms...

Yes it can be done by wiring the subs in series and then in parallel. That way your impedance would be in the range of ur amp. And that shouldn't hurt the amp far as impedance but it will require a rather large amp to power all of the speakers. Get rid of the 12s since they are svc and use the 10s as they are dvc. DVC>SVC

Why in the world would you do that? Would be ideal if his 10s were 4ohm dvc then you can do a series/parallel install and have a 4 ohm impedance to his amp! Here is a quick link to speaker wiring!

You're the one with the PPI amp? lol I have responded to your other thread!

Bro get rid of your SVC 10 Xplode and run your DVC by itself. Get a single box, parallel your DVC together and run it that way! Will sound much better! I am running a single Alpine 1402 Type R DVC, put the voice coils in parallel dropping the resistance to 2 ohm and bridged it to my amp. My amp doesn't even run hot, and it bumps!

I got ya man! I have never heard of an amp running in 1.5 ohms myself. Something new to me.... lol I have seen .25 to 1 ohm amps! 1.5 is just out weird to me but if it works hey that's awesome!!!
