Hey guys.....been a while.

I currently have an alpine cda-9885 headunit with the KCE-422i ipod connector cable.

I have been using with my 8GB 4th gen nano for a couple years or so with no problems.

I upgraded to the 16GB 6th gen nano for the extra capacity. Everything works fine in the car except that it wont charge.

This seems to be a pretty common problem with the newer nano's, so I was thinking about spending the extra $ for the classic. I havent seen any problems with people charging the classics with older cables or sources. Does anyone here currently use a classic with an older ipod connector with their cars? Or does anyone have any trouble charging the classic with sources other than the computer such as docks, wall chargers, etc?

And advice would be appreciated.
