Do you compete?

Just curious how many people compete in here in soundoffs and if you do ever win any?

Just curious.

600 watts RMS? I've got 800RMS which is really 992 on the Fosgate birth sheet...and I don't even consider mine "very loud" and prolly kills yours And some people have some crazy setups on here...no I def don't compete.

Do you have one 800.2 for your solarbarics? Or a 800.2 for each sub? If 147db with one, I better go test mine! I wanna see what I hit with my audiobahn subs with the same amp.

Re: Re: Re: well...

Dynamat won't make your car louder, so how does $300 worth of dynamat make you so sure your car is louder. I'm sponsored by Dynamat, and I have a lot more than $300 of dynamat in my car, and my car isn't even that loud. Until you get your car measured for SPL, no one will ever know. It's not one of those things you can just guess and say "my car hits at least 130". You even missed the point of his whole post. He said soundoff, not high school parking lot.

dynamat won't make your car louder...I am going from the fact that I clearly have more watts going to my subs. And a bandpass box.

I don't remember the model number but they're 400 RMS each...with a rockford fosgate 800.2 running it. About 800 RMS from the amp.

HA HA HA... i out beat all of you fools... i have 3 jlw7 that's right w7.. and i'm running 1200 watts to each sub.. it's so loud that i've even gone blind...

i wanna compete in the near future but i need to pick up a rule book and complete my installs first... i hate doing alarms.. it's SUCH tedious work.. i relocated half of the alarm in teh trunk (relays, remote starter module etc.) so it wont clutter up the dash too much... GRRRrrR... and sound deadening is not my favorite thing to do either....

hahhaah just kidding man i dont' have 3 w7.. i'm not rich... i only have one twelve in a sealed box and a stripped out car since i'm still working on the sound deadening. but when all is near completion, i'll attend a meet.. but prior to that i'm not too eager to show my car.

Sooner or later I'll get mine finished again and I'll be competing again.
Right now I'm spending part of my time on the turbo project, part on the stereo, and the other 90% of my life at school, work, and doing other people's cars to pay for my habit.

But when the system gets done, you guys WILL see me on the stage at IASCA Finals again. I was there in 2000, I'll be there agian in 2002.

as for my past history, I competed in my 93 GXE. ended up 10th at IASCA World finals last year. and that was with some horrible door pods and ZERO break in time on my new focal speakers (actually about 1 hour of total time after install. They were still in the cardboard boxes from the factory until 3 hours before judging!

But I did okay. I'll do better next year!

you got the class right, but that's it.
It was in my 93 GXE using PPI amps.

I'm using the same PPI amps (plus a couple more), same front stage (only better install), but new subs and a completely freakish new install.
it won't be flashy, but it'll be "useful". i.e. removable in 3 minutes or less for autocrossing and other times I'd need to remove the system.
It'll also be extremely light. none of this 300lb of wood crap I had in my GXE.

I take it that your gonna run street then? What class do you plan to run in, are you gonna come to sbn?...I know I know it's a long drive. And no offence but I can't see how you had 300lbs going in that install
